Candyce Clifft grew up in Bolivar, Tennessee, a small town near Memphis. She developed an early fascination with news, pretending to be the third grade version of Connie Chung. Candyce earned a bachelor's degree in English/journalism from Tennessee Technological University where she worked for the school paper and radio station. She then earned a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, working for KOMU-TV and KBIA-FM in Columbia and KMOX in St. Louis. Candyce joined the WDRB News team as a reporter in 1997. She was married later that year and together with her husband started their family.  She has a beautiful daughter and she welcomed her son in 2005.   In her spare time, Candyce enjoys gardening, playing the piano, and keeping up with sports of all kinds.
